Creating a Perfect Personal Space

“Any place and time that you can make space to just be is the perfect place for stillness.”        -Darcy Luoma

It is impossible to hear our inner guidance when we are flooded by activity, interruptions, and noise. When we create a sense of silence, we regain perspective and clarity. If we tell ourselves we do not have time to pause, we block our personal progress.

When we splatter too many thoughts against our visions, we lose focus. If we constrict our focus too narrowly, we stunt possibilities. Seeking perfection is a fallacy as we are our worst critic and block our own creativity.

Silence can be created anywhere and at any time. If we can remove ourselves physically, we may seek relief in nature or church or private seclusion. We can mentally embrace quietude by simply closing our eyes and altering our breath. Breathwork supports so many of the challenges everyone experiences. It reduces stress, creates feelings love, gratitude and peace. Breathwork also releases trauma and emotional blocks, as well as anxiety, depression, fear, grief, and anger. The most difficult part of creating space is remembering to choose it.

How do you create a perfect space? Set your intentions:

  1. To create a personalized mental or physical comfort zone.
  2. To notice when a pause is needed.
  3. To indulge in silence for emotional and physical alignment.

When a child acts out, we may choose to place him or her in time out. It can be just this easy for us as well. Admitting to the need of quiet, we honor and respect our process for emotional stability. Hypnosis and meditation are great ways to create that quiet space.
